Chartham Cricket Club

Welcome to Chartham Sports Cricket Club

Chartham Sports Club was formed in 1946 to bring a sporting focus to the community of a small paper mill village. Sadly in the late nineties the cricket team disbanded when the cricket table was relinquished on the village memorial playing field when rules governing public open spaces changed.

In 2004 the cricket section was reformed in the club. The club started with a pool of 18 players. We played 8 away fixtures around Kent in 2004. In 2005 we joined the Kent Village League and performed brilliantly.

Through the summers of 2008 to 2010 we have been playing friendly matches and will continue this for 2011 with around 15 fixtures planned in one form or another.

Training has already started on Fridays evenings from 18.00hrs throughout the summer for the seniors and on a Saturday morning from 10.30 to 12.30hrs for the youngsters.
